Abstract

A review of the book by Marilyn Palmer and Peter Neaverson, who propose establishing industrial archaeology as an analytical discipline integrated into conventional archaeology. Through the analysis of landscapes, buildings, and machines, they examine productive transitions, social control, and labor relations, while also addressing a methodology that combines field surveys and documentary sources, highlighting the social value of cultural heritage. The methodological procedures for the review consist of an introduction to the authors, a summary of the work, the reviewer’s conclusion, and the reviewer’s critique. The results demonstrate the text’s relevance to the development and discussion of the topic within the current academic context.
